24th Selangor Juniors Open on 24th Feb 2013: Update#2

CAS is organizing the Selangor Juniors for Under-10 and Under-14 category on 24th Feb @ DAT Chess Connections, 4th floor, Wilayah Complex, KL.

Each category has 15 prizes with the Champion receiving RM 200, 1st Runner-Up receiving RM 150, 2nd Runner-Up gets RM 100, while 3rd and 4th Runner-Up gets RM 50. All top 15 finishers will be receiving a Medal and Certificate of Achievement.

24th Selangor Juniors Open on 24th Feb and 3rd March 2013

With reference to our article dated 4th May 2012 on re-instatement of Selangor Juniors Open, CAS will start the year with the Juniors event in February 2013 for the benefits of juniors to prepare themselves for MSSS / MSSWP, MSSM and National Age-Group.

The event will see 5 categories  i.e. Under-10 and Under-14 to be played on 24th February, while Under-08, Under-12 and Under-16 on 3rd March. The venue for the event shall be at Arthur Tan Chess Centre, 4th Floor, Wilayah Complex, KL.

There will be 15 prizes to be won by players in EACH CATEGORY.

CAS Fourth Quarter Allegro on 28th Oct 2012 [Update#4]

The final number of pre-registered names stands at 93pax i.e. 47 pax for Category 1 and 46 pax for Category 2. Category 1 pre-tournament favourite is Yeoh Li Tian with NR 2127. While, Category 2 will lead by Ms. Tan Wei Ting with NR 1399.

 

For chess players who had made payment for the event, you DO NOT NEED to arrive early tomorrow. Just be at the tournament venue @ 9AM. While, for others who yet to make payment, please be at the tournament venue between 8AM to 8.30AM.

 

For those who did not pre-register yourselves for tomorrow event, you may still walk-in to ATCC, 4th Floor, Wilayah Complex, Kuala Lumpur between 8AM to 8.30AM. However, a RM 10 penalty shall be imposed.
